If i were to describe this wedding or try to sum it up in one word it would be "LOVE". I was seriously amazed at the love these two shared for each other. I got to witness my first (FIRST LOOK) and OMG I teared up not as bad as Zac and Traci did but I got emotional. This set the whole mood for the night. It was a truly love filled wedding.

The Wedding Ceremony

When the crowd started to arrive you could tell everyone was so laid back. No Stress at all. Everyone that you were around were so friendly and kind. Everyone was starting to make there way in and being seated. It was so very cold for the Month of May but everyone was in such good spirits. The ceremony kicked off with Traci's cousin playing the guitar for the parents and bridal party entrance. He done such a great job. I played the bride entrance song and the beautiful Traci stepped out and entered the beautiful pavilion at Shelby Hills Farms. The pavillion overlooked a phenomenal farm and a huge lake. Its a gorgeous venue if you have never been there. Now i will say this for there ceremony, you could tell these two had God at the center of their relationship. You could feel the passion in the words of the pastor. A prayer a sand ceremony and a ring exchange (with tears included ) and we were ready for those special words. Zac you may now kiss your bride. These two were now joined as one.

The Reception
The reception was set. We had the basic system with uplighting set and ready to go.  The hardest part of the night for me is the opening speech. I know anyone that has read these blogs knows that I struggle with this.  I don't know how the crowd will accept me and it makes me anxious. This one was no different. I struggled with wording at first  but fell right into place when everyone started to laugh and open up.  We had the night set and ready for the bridal party. Once they started to arrive I could tell we were in for a real good night. They were plotting how they were going to enter for the grand entrance so they were already trying to make it exciting. The Bridal party done such a great job with the entrance. There were two best men and the Matron of honor reeled both of them through the door. AMAZING. Dinner went phenomenal. Traci made us an awesome table list and wow it worked so good. We got everyone through the line really really fast. Great Job Team Mulberry Orchard for the awesome service and the amazing food. (I actually had to give them such a big shout out especially on the Mac and Cheese) I am still trying to get their secret recipe on that. After dinner we did the Toast cake cutting and all the special Dances. It was for sure time to start the fun stuff you could tell that the crowd was coming apart at the seams ready to dance and celebrate for sure. So that's what we did. We had the wedding selfie (WITH 91 PEOPLE) then straight into the party. We had so much fun and kept it going up until the circle of love. I Love DJing weddings and have such a great time doing so. I get to meet awesome people who for some become friends or even DJS themselves. We meet awesome vendors like the Photographer Shannon Meredith with PHOTOGRAPHY BY SHANNON. We get to witness love first hand. This was one wedding where you could feel the love. Ill leave you with this. 1 Corinthians 13 "If I speak in tongues of men or of angels but do not love I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. I think that is an apporpriot verse for this young beautiful couple. Thank you Traci and Zac for trusting us with your special day. We hope it was everything you wanted and more.

Beautiful day for a wedding

Where shall we start.  Well if you have been keeping up with my blogs you know that i am not afraid to tell the good the bad and the ugly (on our end as djs). I think it is very healthy and shows character of who you are as a person and helps you grow as a team as a company and as a person. That being said we had a rough start on this one. IT ENDED UP A BLAST, but in the start we couldn't get things working right. The reception setup went perfect. The photobooth perfect but when we got to the ceremony i had to reset the computer cause something was wrong with the sound card. Our lapel mics were picking up way to much wind so we had to switch over to a hand held and i had a xlr cable go bad on me. So needless to say we were running a little behind. Now that was the bad. But this is why we carry backups and i tell people all the time don't hire a dj that doesn't carry backups. Its electronics things will go wrong, but when you are a realest like myself and plan for these things it always works out just like it did in this case. We switched things out and got the ball rolling. Now this was a very country themed wedding and rustic at that. The bride was riding in on a horse with all her bridesmaids coming in with her. Hayleys idea was to play something a little more hardcore as in hopes to make it feel as if they are bad-asses coming down the hill. Hayley it worked you guys rocked that out 100%. If you have ever seen a movie that they use a slow recording camera and bring out the ladies and they are playing a hard core song in the background I want you to imagine that, it was perfect. That is what she wanted and I am telling you it made and memory on my heart as a dj that I wont forget I loved it. Now I had my full crew working this wedding. Dylan Miskell was the main assistant. Katlyn Noe was photography and for her first debut id like to introduce Amber doing her first ride along. Many of you don't know but I put my djs through a lot. They go through an extensive training and a lot of criticism from me. It's a minimum year of training and then if they are not comfortable after that we continue training. I have very high expectations and Amber I would like to tell you I was very impressed with how well you listened and how well you fit in with us. Thank you.

Off my soap box now back to the wedding. Once it was over we guided everyone except the bridal party to the reception barn. It was time for the opening speech. This is the part I struggle with the most it is my weakness. I don't know if other djs are the same but my anxious level goes through the roof on the opener only because your still figuring out the crowd and how much excitement to put into it or how much NOT to put into it and will they accept you or will they ignore you. It is tough and I do tend to worry myself from time to time for no reason. Just like all the rest it went off without a hitch. I stumbled once but with a quick joking on myself got right back to it. Right before the grand entrance we attempted to fit the very large bridal party in the photobooth. I think most of them showed up in the picture so very huge success. The party went on through the night with no issues at all. The crowd was hyped the bride and groom were having a blast. I don't think Hayley left the dance floor all but eat and get a drink. There were many highlights but I think my favorite one was every time Hayley tried to talk on the mic about her love for John and their family, she couldn't get it out due to the tears that kept showing up. Guys that is what love is all about. And you felt that in this wedding. This was a true country wedding with all the fixins. Hayley and John on behalf of ESP I would like to thank you for your trust u gave us for your special day and we wish you many many many years of happiness and peace in your relationship. Remember there will be great times but also bad times. Keep family and loved ones close and lean of them and the bad times wont be so bad.

Oh what a night.

Tonight was so awesome. The first thing i noticed when I walked into St Joes church was this beautiful Bible setting on the table. They elected instead of a guest book or signature frame they wanted to have people pick their favorite bible verse circle it and put their name next to it. WHAT A GREAT IDEA. This wedding was special cause from there very beginning the crowd was very accepting of everything David and Cheyenne had planned. From start to finish they were amped up. Dancing along to the music before there was even dancing announced. They were a great crowd to say the least. It was a beautiful Catholic church and had huge bay windows that let amazing light shine through on the reception. It has to be mentioned the love that David and Cheyenne shared is one you don't see very often. There were already molded as one which is something that a lot of us have to work at and learn. I soon found out where this came from. During the toast the maid of honor brought all the bridesmaids up and rocked the house with some laughs and a lot of tears. This is where they learned how to love this is their foundation. The best man stood alone and delivered a speech off the top of his head that only some could wish they could do. Once dancing started our job was so very easy. They were so outgoing and so in tune with one another as a family (again I see where David and Cheyenne get it from) that time flew on by and by the time we knew it was time to clean up and call it a night. I have to give credit  where it is due. Eddie Arraya my assistant for the night always makes things go smooth. Thanks Eddie for being so awesome. David and Cheyenne we just want to thank you guys for letting us be a special part of you day and wish you many many years of happiness and joy. Just remember in the times of sorrow or as I like to call them THE LOW TIMES, lean on each other and your awesome faith and the valleys wont be as low. We look forward to keeping up with you guys and God Bless you both on your journey through life.

Wedding Reception
DJ Mood Relaxed and Ready

Reception
This wedding was a very anticipated one. Brianna and some of her family were friends of mine and I haven't seen them in quite some time. I was so relaxed and everything went well with set up. DJ Eddie Arraya was my side kick at this wedding and I myself was taking lead on this wedding. Let's get to it shall we.
They decided to kick this wedding off right. Billy is on the fire department and the EMS team so they picked a one of a kind way for their entrance. On a fire truck. WHY NOT. That set the pace and the standard for the rest of the night. We had to change the itinerary a little so they could take a few more pictures. So we improvised and had everyone through the dinner line before the bridal party were ready for the grand entrance.  The agenda was packed the bridal party was here and we were set to go. We kicked the night off a little slow with the food but we quickly picked up the pace for the toast and the cake cutting. As always we had a secret cake cutting agenda that can't be talked about but for those who were there man oh man wasn't that awesome.

We continued the agenda with the very important first dance. You could tell that the two were oh so in love. You could see it in how connected they were for their first dance as husband and wife. We followed it up with the father daughter dance and the groom mother. Again you could feel the love they shared as a family. It was time for the party and party they did. We brought out the secret weapon. THE AVALANCHE DANCE. Once that started the fun didn't stop till the end of the night. The shoe game, wedding selfie, dancing groom and much much more. We seriously enjoyed being a part of the awesome Banta wedding. Billy and Brianna thank you so very much for letting us be a part of your special day.  Thank you all for reading. This was a special wedding for us. I have been childhood friends with Kate and her family since I was a little boy. So this had a very special place in my heart. It was a beautiful day with gorgeous sky's. The temperature was perfect and the sun was bright. On our way to the venue the small historic  town of Madison was alive and breathing. People filled the streets on each side and business was in full bloom. You could tell that spring was here and cabin fever was now over. This was Dylan's first wedding of the 2016 year so it was the first time he got to set up some of the new equipment. After the meeting with the totally awesome venue manager to find out where we were setting up it was that time to start unloading the equipment. With Dylan and I it didn't take long to get everything in and placed, set, and ready to go. We were ready for the party and the fun.

The Wedding Ceremony
As the crowd filter in I was noticing so very familiar faces. It brings comfort to an entertainer to know people that you are entertaining for. The crowd was talking the venue was set and it was a stunning day. All we needed now was the Mr and Mrs. . I started some light instrumental music to break the silence of very anxious crowd. I think they were ready to start as much as we were. Once the bridal party arrived it was time. Mrs (Kate Miller) was absolutely stunning. She was all grown up now. Made me feel old. After a quick check to make sure they were all ready to go. The song to start us off was Two people fell in love by Brad paisley. Ladies and gentleman can i gather your attention please for the starting of the ceremony. They came in beautifully and Kate made her way through another door. Lets get them married. It was awesome to see the love these two shared was amazing. During the ceremony there was a memorial table for the lost loved ones. Not gonna lie Shed a tear one his one. Nick was part of that memorial and was Kate's brother that lost his life in a car accident so again it was pulling my heart strings. With the exchanging of the rings and a kiss these two were married. The recessional exit was one to remember. The great Diane Peyton sang her heart out to Bubbly. It was beautiful and she was a pro. Onto the party.

The Reception

At the cocktail reception we handed out or love advise cards made a few announcements and left everyone to mingle and have a good time. I was fishing with my song selection to see if a particular song or genera was going to work. I was getting a little worried. The crowd was not showing any kind of sign that they were enjoying the music being played. I normally watch for heads bobbing feet tapping people singing or dancing to the music. I do this during the cocktail reception to find out what will be good for the crowd. It always worries me when I cant see the interaction to the music. Once the lovey couple returned from the pictures it was time for the grand entrance. They all had aviators on and came in to the phenomenal top gun theme danger zone. That set the pace for the whole night. We went straight into the first dance. This was where we introduced a new piece of equipment. The Chavuet Bubble Machine. Kate contacted me earlier in the week and asked if we had a bubble machine for their first dance. I am a proud member of Amazon Prime and they delivery in two days. So Yup we have a bubble machine. Back to the reception. So they were starting their first dance and I was working on turning the bubble machine on when i spilled the bubbles everywhere. Luckily i had the gallon jug beside me so i filled it up and had the bubbles going. Sheww that was close lol. After the first dance Dylan was running the Mic and he done wonderful. This was his first time showing off his skills on the mic at a wedding. He ran us all the way through the bride father bride and brother the groom and mother and on into dinner. He done wonderful and made my hopes for his future with ESP more comfortable.  I took over at the cake cutting cause they selected to do the the all special ESP Cake Cutting. Cant give away the details on that. Dinner was great the food was amazing. The smell of the chicken and sides filled the room and everyone was filling their belly's with that yummy goodness. Once everyone was finishing their food I was noticing people were starting to leave. I am speaking for myself but my anxiousness gets a little high when people start to leave. I needed to start something soon to keep people there. I read this totally wrong on this one. I found out the people that were leaving where the families that lived far away. The Crowd was ready to go I just didn't see it but they sure showed me when I started our signature avalanche dance. We packed the dance floor and man they were fun. We kept the people on the dance floor for the rest of the night. The garter toss was one to remember. My Man Jonny showed off his dancing moves with the stanky leg. You see he couldn't remove the garter till he danced good enough for Kate and boy did he put on a show. This guy was a ball if fun.  Kate and Johnny wanted to do a special song . It was a tradition from all the other weddings from their friends. Kate set down in a chair and all the guys sand (you've lost that lovin feeling) another TOP GUN CLASSIC. The ladies didn't want to be outdone so they set Jonny down and sang (Like a virgin) Yea it was awesome. All I can say is this wedding  showed me that I am not always right. I thought I was going to have an issue getting people on the dance floor and let me tell you the crowd came to life and all was phenomenal.  We ended with the all powerful and all emotional circle of love. Kate you were beautiful and Jonny you were a bundle of fun and both of you are now one beautiful soul. Thank you both for letting me be a part of your special day. And a big shout out to my man Dylan who rocked it out with me and another shout out to Todd Pollock and The great people of the Old MArket on Main. You all were absolutely Great to work with.   Thank you all for reading. Brian & Kristina Taylor Wedding (Behind the DJ stand)

Event: Wedding Reception & Ceremony
Date: 3/6/2016
Location: Endris Lodge Clarksville IN
Time: 3pm to 730 pm
DJ/MC Shannon Edds
Mood of the DJ ( SICK BUT ANXIOUS)

This is something new that ESP ENTERTAINMENT will start doing after each event. We are going to Blog about the event and bring to life the details through our world. BEHIND THE DJ STAND.

This was a very unique wedding and a heart-filled one at that. ESP received a call from a very special friend Photographer Samantha Lee Kilfoile. She wanted to know if we had the availability to do a donation wedding for a special couple. I asked the story and after hearing it how could I say no. Brian and Kristina have a son named Camden. Here is his story.

Camden's Taylor is a 5 yr old little boy and in may 2015 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and stage 4 brain cancer(anaplastic mendulloblastoma). Since then Camden has had 6 rounds of chemo and was supposed to go into transplant (bone marrow/ stem cell) and had a 70% chance of beating it. When we were ready for transplant we did our final MRI and it showed that the tumor had came back during treatment this put him at a 30% survival rate. We then tried to do another round of chemo to see if the tumor would react and we had another scan Monday the 18 th and it shows no change. It is the end of our fight unless a miracle happens.

Brian and Kristina were married already but did not get to have an actual wedding and Kristina wanted to have the wedding of their dreams with Camden in the pictures and with only one income and the many trips to the hospital there would be no way to afford such a wedding. With the help of some many awesome vendors we all were able to make this happen for them and was beautiful if I do say so myself. So without further ado let me get to it.

The Wedding Ceremony

Kristina wanted an outside ceremony and at the beginning of the week the forecast wasn't going to let that happen but God had other plans. It turned out to be a beautiful day with pretty blue sky's and the temperature was about perfect. So off to the woods we went to a absolutely stunning amphitheater hidden down a small trip through the woods. It was a pretty good distance to the place so there was no electricity and we had to improvise using our Galaxy tab a and a battery powered speaker. It turned out that it went great. I WAS WORRIED LOL. So while setting there on the benches awaiting the arrival of the guest I got an opportunity to process the area around me. There was a small path that lead through the woods down a small hill then up another. As you crested the other hill you could see the opening in the trees. As you continued down the path you could see in the opening three rows od benches all facing in a half circle toward a concrete stage. Behind the stage was the beautiful background of nothing but Gods Painting. Trees a woods forest with the birds chirping and the leaves rustling. Yes it was a beautiful day.
As the guest started to arrive I started a great selection of country instrumental music. It went awesome with the setting we were in. All the guest took a seat and off in the distance you could see gorgeous bridesmaids and groomsman walking down the path. With the thumbs up from myself the ceremony started. As they made there way down the aisle you could look around and feel the love in the air today was a beautiful day. Once they were all up at the stage   Carolyn Miller took over and rocked the ceremony. Half way through after the two exchanged there tear jerking vows you could look around to almost anyone in there and see that there eyes were not dry. Everything went absolutely perfect event the unity candle continued to stay burning with the wind and everything. You couldnt have asked for anything more. After a wonderful upbeat recessional exit it was off to the reception.

The Reception

I will be quite honest with this. I was a little nervous. It was a smaller wedding approx. 50 people. It is extremely hard to get people up and dancing later in the evening with a smaller amount of people and any seasoned DJ MC will tell you that same thing. So going into it I had some anxious nerves. They were quickly settled when the Brides mother came up requested a song before anything started and grabbed her significant other and dragged him to the dance floor for a little boot scoot and boogie. After that I settled in and knew tonight was going to be just fine. After handing out the Love Advice cards and making a few quick announcements it was a waiting game. We put on some great upbeat music and kept everyone well occupied. I mean with a photo-booth   a candy bar a liquor bar and some great company my job wasn't hard. So the Cake was set the food was hot and smelling delish the  beautiful decorations were placed and the small but eager guest list were ready and awaiting the arrival of the bridal party. With a short few songs on the play list gone and done the pictures were now over and the bridal party was outside waiting the grand entrance. SONG Uptown Funk: It was a energized grand entrance and it flowed very smoothly. Food is now ready to be served but not without a great blessing performed by Grandma Dottie. What a awesome lady ( I saw her over in the corner during the cocktail reception sing along to every song I played). So with the blessing done the food was now ready to be served. This is one positive of a small crowd for a  DJ/MC, walking everyone through the dinner line. If you have a huge crowd it is rough to get everyone through in a timely manner. This one went without a hitch. With full bellies and lots of smiles it was now time to start the other events on the itinerary for tonight. We had to adjust somethings on the itinerary. There was a bridal party member that had to step out to run an errand so we switched some things around and started the first dance. Song Garth Brooks The Dance:Brian THE GROOM had everyone in tears when he showed just how much love he had for Kristina when he wiped a tear off the side of his face. (Don't worry partner your secret is safe with me LOL). Following the first dance was the bride father dance, Bouquet toss and Garter toss. We had a little more time to waste until the Groomsman returned so we through in the SHOE GAME where Brian and Kristina Dominated. 16 out of 20 questions answered correctly. That makes this couple a match made in heaven according to the game rules. Once Everyone returned it was time to toast and cut the cake. I cannot give the details on the cake cutting due to the secret fun stuff we add to the wedding but lets just say it got messy lol and some of you other couples from the past know what I am talking about. After a quick clean up of cake it was now time to dance. Here is where my nerves kicked back in.  I started with the always fun and upbeat play that funky music white boy followed that with The nae nae and we were off to the races. We had such a blast. With the dancing the smiles the tears the whole night was grand. Camden and all the other kiddos were dancing and showing the parents how it was done. You couldn't have asked for a better night. It was truly a honor and pleasure to work with all the great vendors that donated their time to make this "One of a kind" wedding happen. Kristina and Brian we will be praying for your family and most of all for a miracle for Camden. Don't ever give up hope cause miracles happen every day.
